Art of Seeing Group Project

Line: The lines on the bench are mainly parallel and horizontal.

Shape: The tire of this car can be seen as a circle.

Color: This poster consists mainly of the primary colors, red and blue.

Space: The area between these works of art is composed of lines, which forms a grid layout.

Texture: The trunk of this tree provides a rough texture.

Emphasis: The stop sign is emphasized in this picture because the red color makes it more prominent, especially when compared to the black street sign.

Balance: The lines mirroring each other on the basketball court create balance.

Harmony: The lines on the Sykes chapel are repeated, creating harmony.

Variety: The contrast between the lines above and the circular fountain along with the texture of the palm trees in the background provides variety.

Movement: The blurred colors around the soccer players’ shoes portray their movement.

Proportion: The tree in front of Sykes chapel appears almost the same size as Sykes chapel, simply because it was closer to us.

Rhythm: The repetitious lines emphasize the sign.

Unity: The different lines, shapes, colors, and textures create an aesthetically appealing image.
